We strive to give seniors a quality lifestyle. Personal Support Workers provide attendant care, light housekeeping, and meal preparation. Incorporated into these activities is the promotion of wellness and the encouragement to engage in activities that will help enhance the client’s health, promote socialization and support an independent lifestyle (prevention). They also assist clients in regaining optimal functioning (rehabilitation) and encourage others as they adapt to lost functions (habilitation) Senior Watch caregivers also provide compassionate end-of-life care (palliative care).
A qualified RN may monitor the client's physical condition, medication administration, nutrition, mental status and safety.
Seniors who have remained independent may need a little help getting in & out of the bath. This service allows them to remain independent & safe!
Selecting the right service can make a big difference. A key factor in providing families with a quality service is listening to customer needs and tailoring service to meet those needs.
A Senior Watch® professional will help you access appropriate resources including Life Assure Medical Alert Systems, Dept. of Social Development assistance, Long Term Care, Veterans Affairs and Insurance plans.

SWIFT Is the Next Generation in Care Planning — Pre-Planning
Imagine you find yourself in a hospital bed after slipping in a stairway. You are told that you will be discharged in the next day. “Do you have someone to come and take you home?”, the doctor asks. “You will need someone to help you for a few days”, she instructs. Then you realize that you did not think of this situation happening to you. Where do you turn? SWIFT is a pre-planning service.
SWIFT is also there for adult children of seniors who have responsibilities out of town, at work, or with family and need support for a senior relative. SWIFT comes in various stages. It can be a conference call with a social worker, nurse, or other certified health care worker.

END- OF- LIFE CARE (Open to family Caregivers)
Care-Ed Learning is proud to offer a 5-part National Palliative Care Certificate Program. This course is designed specifically for paraprofessionals and family caregivers involved in providing end of life care. Sharon O’Brien (1938-2024) states, ” As caregivers end–of-life care in the community, we must always be acutely sensitive to the needs of those for whom we care.”
Ms. O’Brien believes that culture, belief systems and personal values affect the way life is lived, and death is faced. In addition, she states, these same elements determine the “quality of care” that is given.
These sessions challenge participants to address the following questions: Is health a possible part of illness? As caregivers do we see this person as a normal person with an illness or just an illness? Are we able to allow people to learn from their mistakes? Can we genuinely accept a dying person’s feelings without judging or correcting? Can we incorporate “health” into the “death” process?
